Konami's 1988 Labyrinth Runner Joins Arcade Archives Tomorrow
Konami's 1988 shooter Labyrinth Runner arrives on Arcade Archives January 22 for Switch, PS4, and next-gen consoles with Arcade Archives 2.
Hamster Corporation has announced that Konami's 1988 arcade shooter Labyrinth Runner (ラビリンスランナー) will join the Arcade Archives lineup on January 22, 2026. The game launches simultaneously on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and through the new Arcade Archives 2 series on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Rescue Princess Papaya

In Labyrinth Runner, players must journey through an evil Devil's castle to rescue Princess Papaya. The game features three distinct projectile types that players use to defeat enemies approaching from all directions while navigating various traps throughout the castle's labyrinthine corridors.
The 1988 Konami classic supports one to two players and represents the arcade shooter genre from gaming's golden era.
Arcade Archives 2 Enhancements
The next-generation Arcade Archives 2 version adds Time Attack Mode, where players race against the clock rather than competing for high scores. Both versions support online global leaderboards, adjustable difficulty settings, rewind functionality, and multiple save slots.
