Xenon Griffgoat: The Heretical Vampire

Voiced by Taketo Koyasu, Xenon Griffgoat is described as a rare genius researcher proficient in all fields. His groundbreaking work formed the very foundation of vampire society, yet his heretical nature led to a sentence of over 10,000 years imprisonment. This enigmatic figure wields an axe-spear as his primary weapon and commands Hounds as his Buddy type.

Prison Island: Maximum Security Nightmare

The trailer showcases Prison Island, a massive ocean-floating maximum security facility designed to hold the most dangerous offenders. Barrier magic completely isolates this foreboding location from the outside world, creating a self-contained hellscape where players will face new challenges and uncover dark secrets.

Heritage Arts: Devastating Weapon Techniques

CODE VEIN II introduces Heritage Arts, special weapon-summoning actions that add devastating new options to combat. The Blood-Drinking Long Sword delivers high-speed katana drawing techniques, while the Rose Knight Machine Gun summons dual triple-barrel gatling guns for overwhelming firepower.

Buddy System and Combat

The Buddy system returns with expanded abilities. New techniques include a photon sphere energy attack that inflicts the Sun status ailment on enemies, along with regeneration support skills to keep players fighting through the game's challenging encounters.

Multi-Ending Narrative

CODE VEIN II features a multi-ending structure with branching narrative paths that extend even beyond the main conclusion. Player choices throughout the journey will determine which ending they experience, adding significant replay value to this dark action RPG. This branching narrative approach mirrors other successful action RPGs like Dragon's Dogma 2.

CODE VEIN II launches January 29, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with the Steam version following on January 30, 2026. The Standard Edition is priced at ¥8,100 plus tax.
