Demon Slayer: Hinokami Chronicles 2 Adds Infinity Castle Akaza as DLC Fighter

The Upper Moon Three demon joins the roster as the latest DLC character, bringing his martial arts Blood Demon Art to Versus Mode.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hinokami Chronicles 2 has expanded its roster with the release of Akaza (Infinity Castle) as a downloadable character. The DLC launched on December 19, 2025 across all platforms.

Upper Moon Three Enters the Ring

Akaza's Infinity Castle variant brings his signature martial arts combat style to Versus Mode. As the holder of the third highest position in the Twelve Kizuki and the fourth strongest demon in existence, Akaza is renowned for his exceptional prowess in hand-to-hand combat.

The character showcases enhanced animations and cinematic effects tailored to his Blood Demon Art, emphasizing close-quarters pressure, rapid counters, and devastating finishers. The DLC includes the playable character along with new profile photos, quotes, and decorations for customization.

Blood Demon Art: Destructive Death

Akaza's Blood Demon Art, Destructive Death, merges shockwaves with martial arts. This deadly technique allows him to combine the Soryu fighting style with powerful shockwaves that appear as balls of energy, invisible direct force, or missile-like spikes generated from any part of his body.

His signature technique, Compass Needle, manifests a snowflake-shaped compass beneath him that senses an opponent's "Fighting Spirit" - their will to fight. This grants him numerous combat advantages and allows him to progressively adapt to opponents, learning their attack patterns in real-time.

The Tragic Human Behind the Demon

Over a century ago, Akaza was a human named Hakuji, a prodigious martial artist who trained under Keizo while caring for his daughter Koyuki, who would become his fiancee. Even before his transformation, young Hakuji demonstrated exceptional combat abilities, overpowering several grown men at age 11 without formal training.

As a testament to his strength, Akaza attained Upper Rank Three without ever killing or eating women - a self-imposed limitation that would have otherwise hindered his growth as a demon.
