PRAGMATA: Capcom's Sci-Fi Adventure Coming in 2026
Capcom's upcoming sci-fi action-adventure PRAGMATA features dual-character gameplay on a hostile lunar station, launching in 2026 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Capcom, fresh from record-breaking financial results,, also behind Resident Evil Requiem and Resident Evil Zero and Code Veronica remakes,'s highly anticipated sci-fi action-adventure PRAGMATA is set to launch in 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. After multiple delays since its initial 2020 reveal, the game showcased its first playable demo at Gamescom 2025, giving players their first hands-on experience with its innovative dual-character gameplay.

PRAGMATA takes place on a lunar research station that has been overrun by hostile AI robots. Players must guide spacefarer Hugh and android Diana as they work together to fight the rogue AI controlling the facility and find a way back to Earth. The game's narrative explores themes of technology, artificial intelligence, and human survival in the hostile environment of space.
One of PRAGMATA's most distinctive features is its dual-character control system. Players control both Hugh and Diana simultaneously, switching between them strategically to overcome obstacles and enemies. Hugh is equipped with multiple firearms and a jetpack for dodging attacks and reaching distant areas, allowing him to execute direct assaults on enemies. Meanwhile, Diana possesses advanced hacking abilities that can breach robot defense systems, disable enemy armor to reveal weak points, and provide tactical support for Hugh's attacks.
The combat in PRAGMATA requires careful coordination between both characters. Enemy robots are protected by impenetrable armor, making direct attacks ineffective. Diana must first hack into a robot's defense system to disable its armor, revealing critical weak points that Hugh can then target with his weapons.

This creates a tactical gameplay loop where players must position Diana to hack enemy defenses, wait for the armor breach, switch to Hugh to exploit the revealed weak points, and use Hugh's jetpack to dodge counter-attacks. Beyond combat, PRAGMATA emphasizes exploration of the lunar research station, with Hugh's jetpack enabling vertical traversal to reach otherwise inaccessible areas, while Diana's technical expertise opens new paths through locked facilities and deactivated systems.
PRAGMATA showcases Capcom's cutting-edge visual technology with stunning depictions of the lunar station, Earth visible in the distance, and detailed character models. The game's art direction combines realistic sci-fi aesthetics with a haunting atmosphere that emphasizes the isolation and danger of the setting. The game is scheduled to launch sometime in 2026 for PC (via Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, though an exact release date has not been announced.
