Wuthering Waves Reveals Aemeath, Digital Ghost Coming in Ver.3.1

KURO GAMES has revealed Aemeath, the newest playable character coming to Wuthering Waves in the upcoming Ver.3.1 update, set to release on February 5, 2026.

The Digital Ghost of Startorch Academy

Aemeath is a 5-star Fusion Sword character with a haunting backstory. Once a Synchronist at Startorch Academy, she now exists as a digital ghost, invisible to nearly everyone around her. Despite her ethereal existence, Aemeath maintains a bubbly personality and wide range of interests, enjoying campus life and wanting to share her joy with others even if they cannot see her.

Her visual design reflects this spectral nature. Aemeath casts no shadow and appears fragmented and unstable, as if affected by a poor signal or transmission glitch. Her pink hair and glitchy aesthetic create a striking presence that sets her apart from the existing roster.

An Artificial Sentinel

Unlike natural Sentinels such as Cartethyia and Jinhsi who possess six points on their Tacet Marks, Aemeath has only five. This distinctive trait has led to theories that she may be an Artificial Sentinel created by the Research Institute rather than a naturally occurring one.

She hails from Lahai-Roi, a region long covered in ice and snow with a sparse population. The area historically lacked a natural Sentinel, and Aemeath appears to fill that void. She exists in a different spatial dimension from regular inhabitants, explaining why she remains invisible and intangible to most.

Mecha-Based Combat

Aemeath brings an unprecedented combat style to Wuthering Waves. Her kit revolves around Tune Rupture and Fusion Burst mechanics, shifting the meta toward explosive burst windows over sustained DPS. She functions as a high-risk hypercarry who stacks Tune mechanics for massive damage bursts.

Her Resonance Ability allows her to merge with a Mechascout, transforming into starlight to soar through the night sky. The visual effects incorporate digital noise and luminous expressions, creating what KURO GAMES describes as an unprecedented electronic atmosphere in battle.
