Gungrave G.O.R.E: Blood Heat Announced - Complete UE5 Rebuild Coming 2026
Studio IGGYMOB announces complete Unreal Engine 5 rebuild of Gungrave G.O.R.E with new combat system, 360-degree controls, and artwork by Trigun creator Yasuhiro Nightow.
Gungrave G.O.R.E: Blood Heat has been announced by Studio IGGYMOB as a complete rebuild of the 2022 action shooter, now powered by Unreal Engine 5. The game is scheduled for release in the first half of 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
Blood Heat represents a ground-up reconstruction of the original Gungrave G.O.R.E, incorporating extensive player feedback to deliver a more refined and intense action experience. The development team has overhauled every aspect of the game, from combat mechanics to level design and character interactions.

Beyond the Grave Returns
The game once again follows Beyond the Grave, the iconic resurrected gunslinger who returns after 13 years to battle rival criminal organizations. Armed with his signature Cerberus dual-pistol system, Grave brings his brutal brand of justice through stylish gunplay and devastating close-quarters combat.
Original creator Yasuhiro Nightow, the legendary manga artist behind Trigun and Blood Blockade Battlefront, has provided new artwork for the game including a redesigned Beyond the Grave. Nightow commented that he "got too enthusiastic" with the artwork, particularly adding detailed coffin illustrations that were originally intended as simple silhouettes.

Rebuilt Combat System
Blood Heat introduces a completely revamped combat system featuring:
- 360-Degree Controls - Upgraded from the original 8-direction movement for fluid action
- Bullet Ballet and Gun Kata Combining gunplay with stylish movement for spectacular firefights
- Enhanced Enemy AI Diverse character combat variations and smarter opponents
- Level Interactions Environmental combat options beyond simple gunplay
- Improved Animations Enhanced character movements throughout the game

Visual Overhaul
The Unreal Engine 5 rebuild brings significant visual improvements including upgraded character models, enhanced backgrounds, improved VFX, and better cinematics for spectacular gunfight action. The overall atmosphere and visual quality have been substantially elevated from the original release.
