Mega Lucario Z Revealed for Pokemon Legends Z-A M-Dimensional Rush DLC

A brand-new Mega Evolution form has emerged from the depths of Lumiose City. Mega Lucario Z joins the growing roster of new Mega forms in Pokemon Legends Z-A's upcoming M-Dimensional Rush DLC, launching December 10, 2025 exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2.

Aura Overload: A New Form of Power

Unlike the standard Mega Lucario that Pokemon fans have known since X and Y, Mega Lucario Z channels aura energy throughout its entire body rather than concentrating it in specific points. This fundamental change in how aura flows through the Fighting/Steel-type results in dramatically increased defensive capabilities, flexibility, and agility compared to its predecessor.

The visual design reflects this internal transformation—Mega Lucario Z sports a sleeker, more streamlined appearance with cyan-colored aura tendrils flowing from its body, creating a striking silhouette that distinguishes it from any Lucario form seen before.

The Hoopa Connection

The M-Dimensional Rush expansion centers around the mythical Pokemon Hoopa, whose dimension-warping abilities have torn open rifts across Lumiose City. These dimensional disturbances are responsible for bringing new Mega Evolution forms into the world of Pokemon Legends Z-A, including Mega Lucario Z.

More New Mega Evolutions

Mega Lucario Z isn't alone in this expansion. The M-Dimensional Rush DLC also introduces Mega Raichu X and Y variants, along with Mega Cloyster, expanding the Mega Evolution roster significantly. Players can obtain Mega Stones through the Z-A Battle Club's Rank Battles, with Greninjanite, Maboroshinite, Brigaronite, and Cegreynight available as rewards.

EX Side Missions

Two new EX Side Missions accompany the DLC launch. "Project Code: M" rewards players with Mewtwonite X and Mewtwonite Y upon completion, allowing trainers to add the legendary Mewtwo to their team in either Mega form. A second mission, "Like a Sparkling Gem," offers Diancienite as its reward, unlocking Mega Diancie.

Early Purchase Bonus

Players who purchase the M-Dimensional Rush DLC before the deadline can claim a Luxury Ball Set containing Speed Balls, Lure Balls, Level Balls, and Heavy Balls. The serial code must be redeemed by February 28, 2026, with validity extending until March 10, 2026.

The DLC is priced at 3,000 yen and requires completion of the main Pokemon Legends Z-A story to access.
