Duet Night Abyss, the fantasy adventure RPG from Pan Studio and Hero Games, launches on Steam December 23, 2025 alongside the massive Huaxu: The Wind Awakening update. The announcement was made during The Game Awards 2025.

What sets Duet Night Abyss apart from most gacha RPGs is what it doesn't have: there's no character gacha, no weapon gacha, and no stamina system. In August 2025, Pan Studio made the bold decision to remove all gacha mechanics before launch, shifting monetization entirely to cosmetic purchases.

Players can freely farm character fragments and forging materials to unlock their favorite characters without any predatory progression systems or random pulls.

The game follows two protagonists on separate journeys—one exiled to a harsh northern border, the other caught in political intrigue. Their paths will eventually converge in a world where magic and technology coexist.
