Atelier Ryza Dives into Dolphin Wave with Swimsuit Collaboration Event

The alchemist of Kurken Island is making a splash in an unexpected arena. Ryza from Atelier Ryza will be joining Dolphin Wave as a playable character in a collaboration event kicking off January 19, 2026.

For those unfamiliar with Dolphin Wave, it's a free-to-play jet battle game from Honey Parade Games, the studio behind the Senran Kagura series. The game puts players in the role of a coach training "Dolphins" - athletes who compete in high-speed water combat using specialized machines called UMIs. Think jet ski racing mixed with third-person shooting, wrapped in the studio's signature character design.

What's in the Collaboration

The first wave of collaboration content brings Ryza herself to the game, sporting a swimsuit and wielding dual pistols instead of her usual alchemy staff. It's a departure from her usual explosive concoctions, but watching Ryza zip across the water guns blazing should be entertaining.

But Ryza isn't coming alone. Dolphin Wave's own Yamaba Yume will receive a costume based on Claudia Valents, Ryza's childhood friend and fellow adventurer. In keeping with Claudia's musical background, Yume's collaboration outfit has her using a flute as her weapon.

The collaboration PV also revealed Sarah Anthony wearing Lila Decyrus's outfit, suggesting more crossover content might be on the way.

Event Rewards

Players can earn collaboration costumes and collaboration machines by participating in the event. The machines are the water vehicles characters ride in battle, so expect some Atelier-themed UMIs to be available.

The collaboration was announced during a Resleriana's Atelier broadcast as part of the Atelier series' latest news updates.

About Dolphin Wave

Dolphin Wave launched in October 2022 and serves as a spiritual successor to Kandagawa Jet Girls. The game is set on the artificial island of Wadatsumi, where jet battle has become a professional sport. Teams consist of a Rider who controls the machine and a Gunner who handles the weapons.

The game features a turn-based command battle system alongside character interaction features like "Commu" conversations and a Diorama mode for posing characters.
